FAQ

What material are the containers made of?

Containers are made of food grade stainless steel. The lid is also made of food grade silicone. They are durable and healthy. These materials do not release toxic products – as opposed to some plastics – when in contact with heat. A chemical migration test is performed in laboratory when we receive containers order to confirm these aspects. Moreover, they are resistant to the multiple washings they will undergo in their useful life!

Do you offer other reusable items?

All our reusable items are listed above. We do not offer reusable napkins, small round containers (desserts, dips, etc.) or sauce cups. However, we can wash your stainless steel sauce cups if needed.

How do you ensure that containers are clean before they are reused?

Container washing operations will be carried out in accordance with the rules set out by MAPAQ and specified in the cleaning and sanitation guide.

Rapid tests for pathogens to ensure washing quality will be carried out at regular intervals, and the results recorded in a register, in order to ensure the highest quality for our users, although these tests are in no way a MAPAQ requirement (fact validated with MAPAQ).

Watertight crates of clean and dirty containers will be stored separately (pending washing or delivery) at the washing site. They too will undergo rigorous washing between each use.

How do you deliver the items?

We aim to make our deliveries as carbon-neutral as possible. For small to medium-sized orders, we deliver by cargo bike. For larger orders, we always try not to add a truck on the road, but rather to optimize journeys with a vehicle already on the road (usually the caterer’s).

Can I return reusable containers and items directly to your wash center?

Yes, if you already have a truck on the road, it can make a stop here, saving you logistical costs. Our wash center is equipped with an unloading dock.

How do I place an order?

For the first time, contact us directly at info@retournzy.ca so that we can get in touch with you. Next time, simply fill in a form which will be sent directly to us with the following information: desired items and quantities, delivery location and time, collection location and time.
